Events & attendance

Learn how to create events, collect member responses and keep track of attendance across your organisation.

Keep everyone informed

Events in PipeBandHQ give members one place to see what is happening and allow organisers to collect attendance responses before the event.

Add clear event information

Include enough detail for members to know where they need to be, when they need to arrive and anything they should bring.

Step 1

Create the event

Add the event name, date, time, location and any important notes members need to know.

Step 2

Choose who should see it

Set the event scope so it is available to the correct band, bands or the whole organisation.

Step 3

Collect attendance responses

Members can respond to the event so organisers can see who is available.

Step 4

Review attendance

Check responses before the event and use them to help plan numbers, transport, line-ups or other arrangements.

What should an event include?

Date & location

Make sure members can easily see when and where the event is taking place.

Times

Include arrival, start or finish times where they are useful to members.

Using attendance responses

Attendance responses help organisers understand who is available before the event and identify members who have not yet responded.

Attending

The member has confirmed they are available.

Not attending

The member has confirmed they cannot attend.

No response

The member has not yet submitted an attendance response.

Before publishing an event

Check the event date and times.

Confirm the correct location.

Make sure the event is visible to the correct band or bands.

Add any notes members need before responding.
