Administrators

Setting up your organisation

This guide explains the main steps organisation administrators should complete when setting up PipeBandHQ for their band.

Before you begin

The organisation is the main workspace in PipeBandHQ. It contains your bands, members, committee access, events, rehearsals, music, documents and other organisation data.

One organisation can contain multiple bands

If your organisation runs more than one band, you do not need separate PipeBandHQ organisations. You can manage multiple bands within the same organisation.

Step 1

Create your organisation

Set up your organisation with the correct name and basic details so members can identify it easily.

Step 2

Add your bands

If your organisation has more than one band, add each band so members, rehearsals and events can be organised properly.

Step 3

Set up committee access

Assign the appropriate roles and permissions to committee members so they can manage the areas they are responsible for.

Step 4

Review your organisation settings

Check your organisation details, band structure and access settings before inviting members to join.

Think carefully about administrator access

Not every committee member needs full access to the organisation. PipeBandHQ lets you control which areas each committee member can manage.

Organisation administrators

These users have the highest level of organisation access and should normally be limited to trusted administrators.

Committee members

Give committee members only the permissions they need for their responsibilities.

When is the organisation ready for members?

Once your organisation details, bands and administrator permissions are correct, members can begin requesting access.

Check the organisation name and details are correct.

Make sure all required bands have been created.

Confirm the right people have administrator and committee permissions.
